A downloadable game for Windows

Hi!

We're Team CREÄTE, a group of six Game Design students from XAMK (South-Eastern Finland University of Applied Sciences).

Bifröst is our very first demo project and we managed to crunch it together in just 8 weeks! It's an atmospheric first-person adventure game with puzzle elements that combines two very different themes; Norse Mythology and sci-fi. [Made in Unreal Engine 5]

The team (in alphabetical order):

Sonja Alve – Narrative Designer / Music & Sound Designer / Cinematic Designer

Kristian Faruku – Lead Game Designer / Level Designer / 3D Artist / Programmer / Sound Engineer

Jenna Ketola – Lead 3D Artist / Game Designer / Level Designer

Riikka Laakkonen – Concept Artist / Game Designer / 3D Artist

Joni Nyman – Lead Level Designer / Game Designer / 3D Artist

Sonja "Nyytti" Vuorenmaa – UI & UX Designer / Game Designer / 3D Artist / Cinematic Designer

Hello CREATE small feedback/bug report here:

1. After interacting with pushable blocks, the camera FOV doesn't seems to reset to it's original value so the player is stuck with a lower FOV. Workaround is kill your character, FOV will reset.

2. On the Bronze/Silver/Gold puzzle, I got the Gold block stuck at this location and was not able to move it afterwards. I think killing your character will reset the puzzle but I didn't tried.

3. Having some sort of hint aura around the pickable items would be good in this type of game. For example in Skyrim all items are pickable so it doesn't need to have an aura around the item but since in your game a Jug item or the Pot asset aside are similar, one is pickable the other one is not. This can lead the player to miss important stuff.

4. More settings would be cool, especially audio sliders would be nice. An option for V-Sync would be also cool since on my side, I've seen a lot of screen tearing.

On the the good side now, I like the graphical style of the game. The puzzles are not to complex for a "demo tutorial". Good job for a student project!

Hey there, weastbird!

Thank you for taking the time to give our demo a try! Thank you also for your feedback, it's very much appreciated and we'll be sure to look into the things you pointed out! 😊

About the statue getting stuck: players should be able to push the statue while standing on that low, surrounding edge. We're aware that sometimes, for no apparent reason, the statues might get stuck when pushed too close to the edge, but usually pushing them while standing on it will "release" them.
